Norfolk Urban Peregrine Project Assistant 2019
An exciting opportunity has become available to assist in the 2019 Norfolk Urban Peregrine Project. The focus of the project is the Norwich Cathedral Peregrines. The position will involve working with the Peregrine Project Officer and a group of volunteers.
The focus of the project is the Watch Point at Norwich Cathedral and Norwich Castle Screen Museum which runs throughout the Peregrine breeding season and is supported by a team of volunteers.
Key activities will be;
- Supervising Norwich Cathedral Peregrine Watch point in the Lower Close at Norwich Cathedral and the screen at Norwich Castle Museum
- Supervising Volunteers
- Assisting the Project Officer with events at the Cathedral and other activities as appropriate including school visits to deliver Peregrine ecology lessons
- Writing and uploading a daily blog of the Peregrine Activity Log
This position is a great opportunity to gain experience working with volunteers and to learn more about Peregrine ecology in an urban environment. Also, to engage the public with nature contributing to conservation through education.
