A look back at the drama of the 2017 fledging.

All of the BUPP 2017 brood have fledged. The male PZ flew from the area early and there are signs that the falcon may have been supporting him elsewhere in Bath, but despite extensive searching along the falcon’s regular flight corridors we haven’t located him.

Females PW and PY both required rescuing at various stages, but their sister PX really made a bit of a meal of the whole fledging process. She first left the nest in driving rain, fell foul of the Bath gull ‘mafia’, was rescued twice, spent some time in hospital and was subsequently reintroduced to her siblings at Bath where she is doing really well.  This is the story of her life to date: https://youtu.be/J_gisnSIdy8
